University of Louisville seeks student-centered academic advisors to support our student success model. The Academic Advisor II/III will provide holistic and proactive advising to undergraduates, helping them plan curricula, audit progress, and meet degree requirements.

Roles will vary between Advisor II or III by unit need, with collaboration across campus and ongoing professional development in advising theory and practice.

Formación

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a related field; relevant higher education experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to advise undergraduate students.
• Ability to analyze academic plans and apply university policies with integrity.

Responsabilidades

• Guide students from orientation to commencement in routine advising matters.
• Collaborate with campus colleagues to support student success and retention.
• Explain and apply university policies and degree requirements.
• Counsel students on academic planning and degree progress.
• Utilize advising software to document notes and monitor progress.
• Participate in outreach and educational presentations to students and families.
