Gateway Community & Technical College is seeking an Academic Advisor I for the Early College Opportunities (ECO) program. You will help enroll students into degree programs, coordinate with high schools, and serve as the ECO advisor to students and families.

You will conduct information sessions, assist with admissions, advising and registration, and maintain confidential student records. This role splits time between high school and college locations and reports to the ECO Director under

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Customer service experience and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and community partners.
• Experience with admissions, advising, registration, recruitment, or student support services.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when maintaining student records and documentation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information appropriately.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word)
• Valid Driver's License
• Light lifting, occasional exposure to mild environment elements

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate ECO communications with district/high schools, recruit students, and conduct orientation sessions.
• Provide admissions, advising, and registration support to ECO students and ensure accurate records.
• Escalate issues to ECO Director regarding advising or recruitment.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate student records.
• Assist ECO seniors and community members with understanding admission processes.
• Serve as ECO advisor.
• Process academic inquiries per ECO policies.
• Support Start Center during dual credit downtime.
• Split time between high school and college locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
