South Texas College is seeking an Advisor for Dual Credit Programs to support academic advising, degree planning, and college transition for dual credit students. You will build partnerships with school districts and deliver workshops and guidance throughout the year.

The role emphasizes collaboration with principals and counselors, monitoring student progress, and assisting with financial aid and admissions requirements within a dynamic higher-education setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree required; two years' experience in advising, registration, financial aid, counseling, or student services is preferred.
• Experience in a higher education institution is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Provides academic advising to Dual Credit students, including course selection and degree planning.
• Builds networks with school principals and counselors to promote dual courses.
• Develops and presents workshops and student support services for Dual Credit Programs.
• Develops advising process for Dual Credit students enrolled at the college; accessible year-round.
• Serves as liaison with faculty and district staff to ensure student success.
• Tracks and monitors student progress and attendance using reporting tools.
