Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a 3D Structural Designer based in the United States to join our Data Center Mission Critical Group. You will create and refine detailed drawings, perform site walkdowns, and collaborate closely with engineers to bring complex projects to life.

Expect to work with REVIT, AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS, ACC/BIM 360, and Dynamo, oversee quality, mentor junior designers, and ensure safety and efficiency across diverse assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field with minimum 1 year of design engineering experience.
• Associates Degree with minimum 6 years of design engineering experience.
• 8+ years of design engineering experience.
• Proficient with 2D and 3D design software.
• Experience producing structural construction documents.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and IFC/openBIM workflows.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit for Structural Design preferred.
• Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design & drafting using Plant 3D and related tools; prepare detailed drawings.
• Perform site walkdowns and generate walkdown reports.
• Self-check drawings and mentor other designers.
• Collaborate with engineers and other designers; maintain clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety and project procedures and standards.
