Hyatt House in New Orleans is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to uphold guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to service calls, troubleshoot building systems and complete repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, kitchen and laundry equipment.

The role requires a broad maintenance background, strong troubleshooting and guest service focus, and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous general maintenance experience in hotel or similar environment.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.

J Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Engineering team as a General Maintenance Engineer at the Hyatt HouseNew Orleans.Nestled in the heart of downtown New Orleans, our extended-stay hotel offers a vibrant setting just steps from the Superdome and Smoothie King Center. As a General Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms, and back-of-house areas throughout the hotel. This hands-on position supports the day-to-day operation of the property by performing preventative maintenance, responding to guest service calls, troubleshooting building-related issues, and completing repairs across a variety of trades.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad maintenance background with experience in general building systems, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, kitchen, and laundry equipment repairs. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service are essential to success in this role.
