This role blends hands-on repairs with leadership, guiding workflow, coaching teammates, and collaborating with housekeeping and front office to keep guest spaces ready and operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Help coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks across the engineering team
  • Coordinate and drive preventative maintenance to completion
  • Support team workflow by assigning tasks as directed and tracking progress to completion
  • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
  • Step in to assist with hands-on work to ensure timely and high-quality results
  • Act as a resource and mentor to team members, providing guidance and on-the-job coaching
  • Partner closely with housekeeping and front office to align on room readiness and guest needs
  • Conduct walkthroughs of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify issues
  • Help ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Promote safety standards and proper maintenance practices
  • Communicate updates, challenges, and priorities effectively with leadership and the team
  • Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and operational improvements
