Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Hardware Engineer to design, test, and bring up satellite hardware from concept to production. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-speed circuitry and robust PCB layouts for next-gen satellite systems.

The role requires strong background in analog/digital design, SERDES, signal and power integrity, plus hands-on lab experience and proficiency with layout tools such as Mentor Graphics or Cadence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years board-level analog/digital design experience.
• 1+ years high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity.
• 2+ years schematic experience.
• 2+ years lab equipment experience (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters).
• Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools.

As a Hardware Engineer, You Will Be a Part Of The Team Of Experts Working On The Development Of Advanced Satellite Systems. You Will Own Or Contribute To The Following

• Design and optimization of circuitry for satellite systems

As a hardware engineer, you will work alongside Senior Electrical Engineers supporting the design, debug, validation and optimization of the products. You will be involved in projects from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle.

Export Control Requirement

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years of industrial experience especially board level analog/digital design
• 1+ years of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity
• 2+ years of experience in using schematic
• 2+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
• Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering
• Familiarity with analog electronic fundamentals (transistor circuits, op-amps, filters, etc)
• Experience in design, implementation, bring up and debugging of proof of concept HW and prototypes
• Familiarity with power supply design
• Proficiency in developing programs for instrument control

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
