R.E. Michel Company seeks an HVACR Technical Service Advisor to support customers and dealers across PA/NJ/MD/DE, troubleshoot, advise on equipment, and travel to job sites as needed.

As a full-time exempt role, you will work with manufacturers, maintain records, and stay current on HVACR technologies through ongoing training. The team emphasizes professional communication and practical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• HVACR experience with troubleshooting required.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Proficient knowledge of electricity and heating systems (gas/oil).
• Strong understanding of air conditioning, heat pumps, ductwork, ventilation, refrigeration, and hydronics.
• Able to size and match equipment accurately.
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities; professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of R.E. Michel's major product lines.
• Record-keeping via paper, electronic tracking, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and troubleshoot technical questions from customers and dealers.
• Interact with manufacturers and promote product improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of field visits and service activities.
• Make site visits with dealers as necessary.
• Attend semi-annual Tech Service Advisor meetings.

Job Title: HVACR Technical Service Advisor

Full Time/Exempt

PA/NJ/MD/DE Area

Reports to: Director of Technical Services

General Summary:

The Technical Service Advisor (TSA) is responsible for effectively responding to and troubleshooting technical questions from internal and external customers. Areas to be covered will include parts of NJ, PA, MD, NJ.

Responsibilities Include

The TSA interacts with manufacturers and promotes improvements in products; maintains accurate records of field visits; makes visits to job sites with dealers as necessary; attends semi-annual Tech Service Advisor meetings; maintains technical literature; continues education regarding new and changing HVACR equipment/products.

Requirements Include

• The TSA must be able to travel in order to perform job duties.
• Proven background and experience in the HVACR field with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Proficient knowledge of electricity, and heating equipment, both gas and oil.
• Proficient knowledge of air conditioning, heat pumps, duct system design, ventilation, refrigeration, and Hydronics.
• Ability to accurately size and match equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a professional manner and teach/give clear instruction. This may be obtained through technical training and job experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of R.E. Michel's major product lines.
• Ability to maintain accurate records via paper, electronic tracking, and spreadsheets.
• Proficient use of computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook/Email.
