Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program.
• One year of journey level experience in installation, operation, maintenance and repair of HVACR equipment; OR one year as HVACR Specialist I in Nevada State service.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on furnaces, chillers, air handlers, and refrigeration units.
• Inspect equipment, monitor performance, and respond to emergencies.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair/modify HVACR systems.
• Install components such as thermostats and insulation to improve efficiency.
• Maintain records, order parts, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor youth participants and share HVACR knowledge.
