Job summary

Western Nevada College seeks an HVACR Specialist 1 to perform journey-level work in installation, operation, maintenance and repair of HVACR equipment, including water treatment. The role also operates the campus utility plant during shifts and travels to other campuses as required.

Essential qualifications include an HVACR apprenticeship or equivalent, EPA refrigerant certification and OSHA 10 within one year, plus a valid Class C driver's license.

Qualifications

• Completion of HVACR apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification.
• OSHA 10 within one year of employment.
• Valid Class C driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain and repair HVACR equipment across campus facilities.
• Assist with water treatment and boiler systems; monitor high-temperature water.
• Operate utility plant during shift and respond to campus needs.
• Travel to other Nevada campuses as required.
• Support safety and compliance and pre-employment screening.
