Job summary

C&R Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to perform a range of HVACR jobs for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. You will diagnose, service, and sometimes sell IAQ services and contracts, while working with the Service Manager, Dispatcher, and fellow technicians.

The role requires a post-secondary HVACR program, 2+ years of experience, and a New Jersey driver's license. Training, advancement opportunities, and year-round work are highlighted in the benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years.
• Two or more years of successful experience as a commercial service or installation technician.
• Current New Jersey operator's license and the ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of ad hoc Service Department teams to conduct HVACR servicing jobs promptly and efficiently.
• Perform routine HVACR service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
• Assist Senior Service Technicians in training other employees on service-related subjects.
• Conduct point-of-work sales of IAQ services, unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and residential service contracts.
• Develop lead referrals for the sales staff.
• Conduct non-service work in support of IAQ and Installation Departments, as assigned.
• Perform related duties as directed by the Service Manager.
