Job summary

Wicked Cool Mechanical is seeking a Service Technician Trainee to join our service department. The role reports to the Service Manager and participates in HVACR service work across industrial, commercial, and residential customers.

You will learn under supervision, perform basic service tasks, and advance into more complex duties as you gain experience. Benefits include paid training, opportunities for advancement, flexible scheduling, and year-round work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVACR program enrolled or completed.
• Strong reading and comprehension of manufacturers' instructions.
• Ability to lift 100 lb., climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Serve on ad hoc Service Department teams to perform HVACR service jobs efficiently and on time.
• Assist service technicians by performing supervised basic HVACR service support tasks; e.g., filter changes, parts stocking.
• Progress to more complex technical tasks under supervision; troubleshooting, seasonal maintenance checks, piping, test equipment.
• Support IAQ and Installation Departments with non-service tasks as assigned.
• Perform trainee/helper duties as directed by the Service Manager.
