Elon University is seeking a Lead HVACR Mechanic I to provide functional field supervision to HVACR trades staff, oversee routine and nonroutine maintenance of university heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration systems, and ensure work adheres to code and trade practices.
The role requires strong mentoring and communication skills, knowledge of HVACR systems and boiler principles, and NC H-3 licensing. On-site, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week at the Elon Campus.

This position provides function field supervision to HVACR trade employees, works independently, and is responsible for the routine and nonroutine care and maintenance of all university-maintained heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration mechanical equipment in accordance with trade practices and in compliance with applicable codes. Possess all skills and competencies of a HVACR Mechanic I and HVACR Mechanic II.

High school diploma or GED with minimum 3 years of experience
Associate degree, or vocational or technical school degree in HVACR
Advanced understanding of HVACR principles.
Advanced understanding of Boiler system principles.

State of North Carolina H-3 Licenses or Equivalent
