Copeland in Sidney, OH is seeking a first shift Mechanical Technician to join our lab and engineering teams, to design, assemble, test and qualify compressors for HVACR systems, collaborating with product engineers on reliable solutions.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2-3 years experience, ability to read schematics, hands-on fabrication and testing, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. U.S. work authorization is required for this on-site role.

Formación

• High school diploma plus 2-3 years experience or equivalent.
• Experience in Mechanical, HVAC/R, Electrical, or Manufacturing Maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Follow engineering instructions in the labs to assemble or test or evaluate compressors and related hardware.
• Fabricate fixtures, hardware, compressors, and controls for non-standard assembly iterations and tests.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, cutting, welding, soldering, and brazing equipment.
• Accurately document and review assembly, inspection, and test results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment, mechanical equipment, various machines and measuring devices.
• Communicate technical information relating to your project assignments and provide accurate updates on progress and other requested information.
• Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.
• Provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.
• Collaborate and work in both a team environment and individually.
