Copeland, based in Sidney, OH, is hiring a Mechanical Technician I to support the engineering laboratory for HVACR compressors. You will set up tests, operate calorimeters and data acquisition equipment, and assist engineers with test data and fixture development.

The role emphasizes foundational HVAC/electrical skills, troubleshooting, and clear communication, with a standard 1st shift on-site schedule at the Sidney campus. Sponsorship is not provided.

Formación

• HVAC schooling or 2–3 years of experience in HVAC environments.
• Basic HVAC, mechanical and electrical skills required.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Good communication and PC skills, including MS Office, are needed.

Responsabilidades

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions for compressors and developmental testing.
• Set up and install compressors and support electronics for test purposes.
• Operate lab test equipment (calorimeters, life test stands, DAQ systems) and acquire performance data.
• Fabricate test fixtures and controls for non-standard tests or builds.
• Review data for compliance with test data standards and communicate results to engineers.
