Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Warehouse Operations and Customer Service Associate in Urbandale, IA to blend warehouse duties with counter sales support for an HVAC manufacturing client.

The role includes shipment processing, inventory management, customer interactions at the sales counter, and basic forklift operations. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are expected, with a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful drug test and background check (felony and misdemeanor last 7 years).
• Experience in counter sales or customer service.
• Forklift operation skills required.
• Computer proficiency to look up parts and customer orders.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual warehouse and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
• Receive and inspect goods, verifying items against shipment records.
• Pack and prepare items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record all received and shipped items accurately using computerized systems.
• Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Assist customers at the counter and answer phones as needed.
• Complete all required written and computerized documentation.
