Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking a dependable Material Handler I to join our Plainfield, NJ distribution team. You will receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship HVACR products while maintaining accuracy and safety.

This role requires basic warehouse experience, a high school diploma, forklift certification, and the ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. Competitive pay starts at $17–$19 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience or training.
• Experience with RF scanners and inventory management systems is preferred.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain on the job.

Responsibilities

• Receive, fill, and ship products accurately and efficiently.
• Operate power equipment (forklift, pallet jack) safely to move products.
• Inspect shipments, verify quantities, and complete paperwork.
• Pack, palletize, and label orders for shipment.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.
