Johnson Controls in Albany, MO is hiring for a Class II AHU Fabricator on the 1st shift. The role focuses on assembling high-quality air handling units from sheet metal, aligning components per specs, and preparing products for shipping.

Opportunity to work with a range of hand tools and lift equipment. The position emphasizes reading blueprints, following BOMs, and maintaining safety and production standards on a fast-paced line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information to individuals or small groups.
• Math skills: basic arithmetic and unit conversion.

Responsibilities

• Assemble AHU components per BOM and specs.
• Read blueprints and specifications to identify parts.
• Prepare products for painting and shipping.
• Install hardware and parts into HVAC assemblies per spec.
• Identify proper parts from BOM/spec sheets.
• Operate hand tools, rivet gun, air gun, and welding tools.
• Move materials using crane or hoist.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Adhere to production schedule and safety standards.
