UNC Finance and Operations seeks an HVAC Training & Safety Officer to develop and deliver safety and technical training for personnel working with HVAC systems on our biotechnology/life sciences campus. The role emphasizes hazard recognition, safe practices, and proper use of safety equipment.

The position also performs preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on DX units, walk-in coolers, CRAC units, and associated boilers, with hands-on instruction and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Must possess EPA 608 universal refrigerant certification.
• Must have a valid North Carolina Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
• Experience developing and delivering safety and technical training.

Responsabilités

• Develops and delivers safety and technical training for HVAC personnel.
• Performs preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on complex refrigeration equipment.
• Maintains training records and supports construction/renovation project reviews.
• Troubleshoots control circuits and repairs/replaces components as needed.
