Job summary

Johnstone-Supply is seeking an HVAC Training Instructor to develop and deliver comprehensive training for technicians, apprentices, and service staff. The role blends classroom, lab, and field coaching to raise proficiency in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, strong communication and instructional skills, and EPA 608 certification. Travel to customer sites and training locations is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; EPA 608 Certification.
• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience in installation, service, or maintenance.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update HVAC training curricula, lesson plans, and exercises.
• Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training to technicians and apprentices.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and revise programs based on feedback and metrics.
• Promote OSHA/EPA compliance and safe work practices.
• Maintain records of certifications and training completions.
