Qualifications

This position is primarily responsible for the installation of residential and commercial HVAC test units inside and outside environmental test chambers and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the chambers. Note: This is a 2nd shift position, working hours are 3 PM - 11:30 PM / Monday - Friday.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare equipment and units for testing, making modifications as directed by the engineering team.
  • Use mechanical and electrical skills to set up tests.
  • Repair and maintain environmental test chambers and related equipment to maximize uptime.
  • Troubleshoot test units and laboratory equipment.
  • Perform refrigerant charging and recovery.
  • Complete assigned tasks as directed by management.
  • Keep the test chamber area clean and organized.
  • Order equipment and parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of technical school or other post-secondary training required.
  • 1+ Years of HVAC installation and repair experience required.
  • Proficiency with basic shop equipment and hand tools required.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting required.
  • Ability to use basic test equipment required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and clearly convey technical information.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $26.93/hr. and $37.02/hr.; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
