A leading facilities management firm in Maryland is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to perform preventative and corrective HVAC maintenance. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC work. Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician. You will perform both preventative and corrective HVAC maintenance. This ensures optimal system function. We encourage license candidates to apply. The company may pay for your licensing.

Responsibilities
  • You will maintain complex systems and equipment:
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections and execute thorough PMs on all heating and A/C units, including exhaust fan cleaning and conducting weekly filter changes.
  • Act as the primary troubleshooter to diagnose and repair A/C units as needed. This includes the potential need to replace major components such as compressors, fan motors, engines, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), and VAVs (Variable Air Volume).
  • Maintain the safe operation of specialized systems, including steam boilers (through regular inspections) and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.
  • You will also be required to perform basic cross-trade tasks, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging toilets, to ensure all facilities remain operational.
Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of experience in commercial HVAC or building maintenance.
  • Solid grasp of HVAC equipment and related fields is essential.
  • CMMS and computer proficiency are a plus.
Compensation

We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $25.00to$30.33, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience.
