Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and software tests on large HVAC equipment while working with exposed voltages up to 1000V AC and/or DC.
  • Assist in creating, documenting, and/or updating test procedures.
  • Document test records.
  • Provide support to engineering staff as needed.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform inspection and testing on electrical components.
  • Provide leadership in pre‑ and post‑test sequence assembly and disassembly on all voltage classes.
  • Possess in‑depth expertise in using and interpreting manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and collaborating with engineering personnel to ensure accurate troubleshooting, problem solving, and optimal solutions.
  • Assure an accurate and clear evaluation of test data.
  • Treat all clients/customers in a respectful and attentive manner.
  • Possess the discipline and rigor to safely perform work independently, delivering quality results.
  • Effectively interact with engineers and senior leadership.
  • Provide direction and leadership in assuring all work is executed per safe work practices, industry best practices, and certification requirements.
  • Supervise, lead, mentor, and/or train multiple technicians and/or crews as required.
  • Working knowledge of fan systems, pumps, compressors, VFDs, PLCs, and electro‑mechanical control.

Essential Physical Functions
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
