Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Test Lab Manager to lead the HVAC test laboratory operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant testing for product development and validation. You will supervise staff, manage equipment and procedures, and partner with engineering on prototypes and instrument upgrades.

The role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience with data acquisition, lab automation, and project management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience supervising and developing employees.
• Experience as a test engineer with test plans and reports.
• Expertise in data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and lab automation.
• Strong project management and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the HVAC test laboratory, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Develop and improve lab testing procedures and standards.
• Evaluate test data for accuracy and recommend corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and maintain calibration schedules.
• Support engineering with prototype development and validation.
• Plan and manage multiple projects with budgets and timelines.
