Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, is seeking an HVAC Test Engineer to support delivery of HVAC systems at Hinkley Point C. The role is based on-site, with a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday, and involves safety, quality and performance oversight across a major construction programme.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and at least five years' experience in large-scale projects, preferably in heavy industry or nuclear contexts,

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in a major project engineering or construction environment.
• Experience monitoring compliance with engineering codes, specifications and quality requirements.
• Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects safely.
• Experience within heavy industrial environments; nuclear sector experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Producing weekly progress reports and updates against project milestones.
• Reviewing productivity and monitoring resource utilisation to drive project performance.
• Developing and implementing construction method improvement plans.
• Raising technical queries and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and engineering standards.
