Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Commissioning) for the Hinkley Point C project in Somerset. The role focuses on leading commissioning activities from planning through delivery within a flagship nuclear new-build programme.

You will work within the Hinkley Point C Commissioning Alliance, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives on a major European infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Quality leadership experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing and construction projects.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing quality professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager to deliver commissioning activities safely, on schedule and within cost.
• Define work scope, coordinate interfaces and ensure effective project execution across multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare, maintain and review project documentation, plans, contractor submissions and drawings.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and report to key stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure regulatory and quality requirements are met.
