This hands-on role supports the critical systems that keep a nationally recognized healthcare campus operating safely and efficiently, working alongside Journeyman HVAC Mechanics to expand skills and contribute to patient and staff comfort.

You will perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs, assist with installations and upgrades, and help maintain pumps, valves, motors and controls.

This hands-on role is responsible for helping maintain the critical systems that keep a nationally recognized healthcare campus operating safely and efficiently. Working alongside experienced Journeyman HVAC Mechanics, this position offers the opportunity to expand technical skills while supporting the comfort and safety of patients, visitors and staff.

Position Summary

Maintains the integrity of the HVAC equipment with preventative maintenance work orders, minor repairs to the different equipment IE; control valves, pumps, including some kitchen equipment and the ability to work with electrical and pneumatic temperature controls to provide a comfortable and safe environment for staff and patients. Works closely with the Journeyman HVAC Mechanics through listening, learning and assisting the Journeyman with highly skilled installation of new equipment and repairs of old equipment for all HVAC systems including refrigeration systems.

• Listens and communicates effectively with the Lead HVAC and the Journeymen in the HVAC shop on a daily basis to understand assignments and schedules, allowing enough time to complete the tasks to meet the needs of the campus.
