Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an HVAC Technician for Maintenance to troubleshoot and repair all types of air conditioning units and related systems across district facilities. This full-time role requires hands-on expertise and reliability.

The position offers a stable 40-hour work week, a starting base hourly rate of $28.85, benefits including retirement matching, health and life insurance, and annual performance pay.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• EPA approved course in Proper Refrigerant Usage.
• Minimum five years experience in refrigeration with related schooling.
• Knowledge of various air distribution systems and DX units.
• Knowledge of reciprocating compressor style chillers and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning units and related systems across the district.
• Keep site personnel informed of system status.
• Interface with supervisor to report work order progress.
• Maintain punctual attendance and timely completion of tasks.
• Travel to multiple schools or facilities as required.

Education

High school education or equivalent

EPA approved refrigerant usage course

Minimum five years refrigeration experience

Knowledge of air distribution systems and DX units

Knowledge of reciprocating compressors and control systems
