Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida, is hiring a full-time General Plant HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and related facilities.

You will work nights/weekends as needed, require Universal Refrigeration Certification, a valid driver’s license, and experience with refrigeration units and low-voltage electronics. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification is required.
• Experience with refrigeration units, chiller systems, and electrical field equipment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions and perform required repairs.
• Install, preventive, and repair maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and freezer systems.
• Assist in construction, painting, and carpentry for facility work.
• Support mechanical and structural preventive maintenance operations.
• Label, transport, and dispose of refrigerant cylinders; maintain records.
• Drive company vehicles around the property.
