Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time General Plant HVAC Technician to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. You will perform installations, maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and related facilities, with duties spanning carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks as needed.

The role requires night, weekend, and holiday work as necessary, with a pay range of $26.19–$43.67 per hour and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of trade school or certified apprenticeship.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with refrigeration units, chiller systems, and electrical field equipment.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage controls and electronics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration, and freezer systems.
• Assist in construction, painting, and carpentry to support facilities.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment records.
• Transport refrigerant cylinders and manage related records.
• Operate company vehicles on the property.
