• EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for handling refrigerants in compliance with regulations.
• Previous experience as an HVAC, controls, or BAS technician in commercial or industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HVAC Controls Technician / BAS Technician role based in Greenville, SC. The technician will install, program, and commission building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting control system issues, optimizing system performance, and performing scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC and related equipment. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics, as well as coordinating with project managers, field technicians, and customers to complete projects safely and on time. The technician will document service activities, maintain accurate records, and follow company and industry safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC controls, BAS systems, and mechanical/electrical components.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems as they relate to HVAC equipment, including chilled water, hot water, and condensate piping.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems and controls.
• Understanding of electrical principles, including low-voltage controls, wiring, and safety practices.
• Current EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for handling refrigerants in compliance with regulations.
• Previous experience as an HVAC, controls, or BAS technician in commercial or industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, control diagrams, and technical documentation, and use diagnostic tools and meters.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work on-site at customer locations in and around Greenville, SC.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or associate degree in HVAC, Controls, Electrical, or a related field is a plus.
