Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead HVAC Technician for its LNG Operations-Maintenance team in Brownsville, TX. The role leads HVAC maintenance, mentoring staff and ensuring safe, compliant work to maximize system availability and reliability across heating, ventilation, and environmental control systems.

The Lead Technician functions as a working leader within the HVAC Maintenance team, providing coverage for the Supervisor during outages and peak work periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC maintenance leadership and mentoring.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance execution with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Ability to optimize reliability and efficiency of HVAC-R systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight of HVAC maintenance activities and personnel.
• Mentor and support the HVAC team and cover Supervisor during absences or outages.
• Ensure work is safe, compliant and of high quality across the facility.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Maintenance Lead Technician, HVAC, provides technical leadership, mentoring and oversight of HVAC maintenance execution activities and personnel to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality work while maximizing the availability, reliability and efficiency of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and associated environmental control systems across the facility. The Lead Technician is a working leader within the HVAC Maintenance team and provides coverage and support to the Supervisor during periods of absence, high work volume, outages and major maintenance activities.
