Job summary

Barge Properties is seeking a dependable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure a safe, functional, well-maintained community in Texas. The role combines hands-on duties with coordinating preventative maintenance, resident service requests, and move-in readiness.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of building systems, a proactive preventative maintenance approach, and leadership skills to help keep operations running smoothly on site.

Qualifications

• EPA and HVAC certification required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with maintenance management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for the property.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and structures.
• Diagnose and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Be the on-site maintenance person handling trash outs and move-ins.
• Respond promptly to service requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Assist with unit turns to ensure move-in readiness.
