Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled HVAC technician for Midland, TX to perform installation, maintenance, and repair across commercial settings. You will troubleshoot and commission equipment and manage service projects from start to finish with a strong focus on safety and customer communication.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of HVAC experience, know chillers and boilers, and can work in varied indoor/outdoor environments. Travel is minimal; EPA and OSHA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of HVAC experience.
• Maintenance experience with chillers, boilers, pumps, AHUs, and other equipment.
• Mechanical and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the industry and competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.
• Current Licensed Technician status or verifiable experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems preferred.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification preferred.
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical components/equipment.
• Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC equipment.
• Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion.
• Maintain HVAC equipment, including atmospheric boilers, water-cooled chillers, energy recovery ventilators, hydronic AHUs, and FCUs.
• Establish and maintain clear communications with customers on and off customer job sites.
• Assist with inventory maintenance and tool procurement for the individual service vehicle.
• Promote and perform all company safety procedures and policies.
• Travel to job sites or office locations as needed.
