Lone Star College-University Park is seeking an HVAC Technician II to install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems across campus. You will work with boilers, air handlers, heat pumps, refrigeration, and building automation to keep environments safe and comfortable for students and staff.

You must hold a High school diploma or GED with EPA 608 Certification and a Texas Registered Technician license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; EPA 608 Certification preferred.
EPA 608 Certification required for refrigerants handling.
Texas Registered Technician license required.
Experience in HVAC maintenance and repair is preferred.

Responsabilités

Maintains and repairs HVAC systems (air handlers, boilers, heat pumps, ventilation).
Performs preventive maintenance for efficiency and longevity.
Troubleshoots system malfunctions using gauges, meters, and diagnostics software.
Repairs or replaces defective HVAC components (compressors, motors, belts, thermostats).
Maintains refrigeration systems (walk-ins, freezers, ice machines) with EPA-compliant handling.
Monitors and adjusts system settings for efficient operation.
Assists with general maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
Keeps accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
Ensures compliance with safety regulations and college policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
