Job summary

Lone Star College-Montgomery is seeking an HVAC Technician II to install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot campus HVAC systems, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.

Work across LSC locations on projects, implement SOPs, maintain records, and support safety and EPA-compliance.

Requirements: high school diploma or GED, EPA 608 certification, Texas Registered Technician, and 3 years of HVAC experience; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
• Texas Registered Technician license required.
• 3+ years HVAC maintenance/repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs HVAC systems including air handlers, boilers, and ventilation equipment.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance for efficiency and longevity.
• Diagnoses malfunctions using gauges, meters, and diagnostics software.
• Repairs or replaces defective HVAC components (compressors, motors, fans, belts, thermostats).
• Maintains refrigeration systems including walk-ins, freezers, and ice machines; handles refrigerants per EPA rules.
