Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a PT Sr. Maintenance Technician, HVAC to manage campus-wide maintenance, service, and repairs on high-rise buildings. You will plan and execute goals independently and may lead others in HVAC, plumbing, and control systems.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 5+ years of related work, HVAC and EPA certifications, and a Texas driver’s license. This on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

High school diploma and at least 5 years of related work experience, including at least 2 years with high-rise buildings and 3 with controls (DDC and Pneumatics) or equivalent
HVAC Certification required
EPA Universal Certification required
Experience with 24–480V electrical voltages
Experience programming building automation systems (BA/DDC)
Valid Texas driver's license and eligibility for insurance

Responsibilities

Directs and participates in preventive and corrective maintenance and installation of HVAC systems
Performs repairs, replacement and maintenance of multiple systems and equipment, including DDC and pneumatic controls
Troubleshoots motor control centers
Maintains daily work orders and records and produces periodic reports
Assist other HVAC staff as needed
Conducts weekly, monthly and annual facility inspections
Assists with vendor selection and purchases of equipment and services
Adheres to safety guidelines and standards
