Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks an HVAC Technician II to keep district HVAC systems in top operating condition. The role requires extensive HVAC repair experience, a valid Universal Refrigerant Recovery license, and the ability to read and complete written reports.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma or GED with HVAC trade certification, a Texas driver’s license, and the willingness to work in a facilities environment with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and HVAC trade-school certification.
• Ability to read instructions, understand verbal directions and complete written reports.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of malfunctions in HVAC systems.
• Repair or replace components or systems in a skilled, safe manner.
• Provide on-the-job instructions and training to others as appropriate.
• Support HVAC Lead and other technicians; assist with on-call duty as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and track job costs and progress.
