Job summary

Douglas County School District is hiring an HVAC Technician II to inspect, repair, maintain, install, and calibrate HVAC systems across district facilities. The role covers air handling units, boilers, chillers, and BAS monitoring, with safety and regulatory compliance at the core of daily duties.

Expect to perform preventive maintenance, emergency responses, reading blueprints, and using various tools and equipment. Certifications such as CFC EPA and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CFC Certification (EPA) and First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of local, state, and national codes relevant to HVAC work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and emergency service calls for HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose defects, repair or replace defective parts in HVAC units and equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections on HVAC equipment.
• Maintain accurate records/logs related to HVAC equipment.
• Assist other trades (plumbing) with piping and repair issues.
• Provide labor and material estimates for HVAC for small remodel projects.
