Job summary

Team Sunshine Construction, LLC in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair residential and light commercial systems, with emphasis on ductless mini-splits and heat pumps. You will work independently or lead small crews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with Mass Save standards and EPA regulations.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience with heat pumps and mini-splits preferred.
EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
Mass Save or utility rebate program experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems including mini-splits and air handlers.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak testing per EPA regulations.
Complete installations to Mass Save requirements with proper documentation for rebates.
Read blueprints, load calculations, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specs.
Commission systems and instruct customers on operation and maintenance.
Mentor apprentices and maintain accurate service records.
