Team Sunshine Construction, LLC in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair residential and light commercial systems, with emphasis on ductless mini-splits and heat pumps. Formación

• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience with heat pumps and mini-splits preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
• Mass Save or utility rebate program experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Install, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems including mini-splits and air handlers.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
• Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak testing per EPA regulations.
• Complete installations to Mass Save requirements with proper documentation for rebates.
• Read blueprints, load calculations, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specs.
• Commission systems and instruct customers on operation and maintenance.
• Mentor apprentices and maintain accurate service records.

Team Sunshine Construction is a growing HVAC company serving homes and businesses across New England. We specialize in high-efficiency heat pump systems and are an active partner in the Mass Save program, helping customers lower energy costs and take advantage of available rebates. We also offer solar installation for customers looking to pair clean heating and cooling with renewable power. As we expand, we're looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team.

Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair residential and light commercial systems, with a focus on ductless mini-splits, ducted heat pumps, and air handlers. You'll work independently or lead small crews on job sites, troubleshoot system issues, and make sure every installation meets Mass Save program standards. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including mini-splits, ducted heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
• Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak testing in line with EPA regulations.
• Complete installations to Mass Save program requirements, including documentation and photos needed for rebate processing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Commission new systems and walk customers through operation and maintenance.
• Mentor apprentices and helpers on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of service calls, parts, and time.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support solar installation projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, with heat pump and mini-split installation experience strongly preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required).
• Massachusetts refrigeration technician license or other relevant state license (preferred).
• Experience with Mass Save installations or other utility rebate programs (a plus).
• Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, airflow, and HVAC electrical controls.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first attitude.

Pay

$30+/hour, based on experience and licensing, plus 1.5x for overtime!
