Job summary

Union County, NC is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain and operate the county's HVAC systems, performing hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable environmental conditions in our facilities.

Under minimal supervision, you will inspect equipment, calibrate thermostats, replace filters, assist with parts ordering, respond to emergencies, and support related trades as needed, with flexible hours and occasional weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving history.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains HVAC systems.
• Performs general and preventative HVAC maintenance.
• Ensures installations meet standards and calibrates controls.
• Performs belt changes, lubrication, and component checks.
• Repairs motors and boilers as needed.
• Assists with inventory and parts ordering.
