Qualifications

• High School diploma required with 5 years in construction trades or building maintenance focusing on HVAC systems.
• Able to estimate maintenance/repair costs and prepare specifications for new equipment purchases.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, service, and repair HVAC systems in county facilities (air handlers, boilers, heat pumps, etc.).
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling equipment and related electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Service and repair ice machines, refrigerators, freezers; coordinate with external HVAC contractors.
• Prepare clear reports on maintenance operations and work orders; maintain safety practices and readiness for 24-hour on-call shifts.
