Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to build, activate, and sustain state-of-the-art data centers. You will work autonomously to solve complex problems, manage multiple projects, and directly influence global infrastructure for space technology applications.

You will collaborate with engineers and internal customers to support mission-critical facilities, with hands-on duties in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems while adhering to safety standards and site regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak operating condition and develop/update work instructions to prevent unplanned interruptions.
• Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment including air handlers, chilled water systems, pumps, cooling towers, and valves.
• Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of refrigerants, piping, insulation modifications and repairs.
• Assemble, install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, heating, water, and drainage systems per specs and codes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, inspect and test pumps, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret schematics for assembly and repair as required.
