Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Sr. Facilities Operations Technician to operate and maintain critical MEP systems in our supercomputing data centers.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior technicians, and lead reliability improvements while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. You’ll work hands-on with HVAC, power, and environmental controls, aligning with our mission to accelerate scientific discovery through AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of hands-on facilities experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems and PLCs.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate and maintain critical MEP systems in data centers.
• Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of data center systems.
• Oversee maintenance of infrastructure and mentor technicians.
• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance.
• Provide operational expertise for MEP systems and related equipment.
• Inspect areas to ensure performance measures are met and report issues.
• Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.
• Conduct daily inspections of critical systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
• Develop energy monitoring metrics.
• Support commissioning by witnessing startup and testing.
