Job summary

ISS Guckenheimer is seeking an HVAC Technician in California to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including boilers and chillers. The role requires EPA certification, journeyman experience, and the ability to read P&ID drawings.

On-site duties include preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and record-keeping. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, safety compliance, and a valid driver's license where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Universal EPA Certification required.
• 2+ years of documentable HVAC journeyman level operation.
• Hands-on maintenance and repair in HVAC/refrigeration.
• Knowledge of codes/regulations for HVAC, refrigeration, and boilers.
• Ability to read piping & instrument diagrams (P&IDs).
• Able to read floor plans/site maps/electrical diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license if driving is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers and HVAC systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts and controls and adjust equipment.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Maintain records of time, labor, and materials; document tasks performed.
