Job summary

Facility Services Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician to service and repair HVAC systems in healthcare facilities. The role requires four years of HVAC experience, universal certification credentials, and the ability to read and write English.

The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, pass a drug screen and background check, and be able to obtain a NACI. Work involves installation, maintenance and repair of chillers, ducts, and related equipment at-site.

Qualifications

• Certification from one of: NATE, HVAC Excellence Professional Level, ICC, or journeyman status in an accredited program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of four years in the HVAC trade with universal certification credentials.
• Two to three years of experience in healthcare facilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must possess or obtain a NACI background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair HVAC systems using refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layouts.
• Maintain refrigerant inventory and usage records.
• Mount compressors and condensers per blueprints or specs.
• Install evaporator units in chassis or air-duct systems.
• Cut and bend tubing to correct length and shape; join pipes and refrigerating units.
• Install valves, connect motors and controls to panels and power source.
• Install air and water filters; test for leaks and proper operation.
• Maintain/repair chillers, dampers, humidifiers, and split systems.
