Job summary

William & Mary is seeking an HVAC Installation & Repair Technician (Lab Facility) to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of HVAC equipment. The role helps ensure indoor air quality, temperature control, and energy efficiency across lab facilities.

The position requires an EPA Universal Refrigerant License, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints and specifications. On-call rotation and overtime are possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, and construction.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant License.
• Valid Driver’s license and two years of driving experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• 40% - HVAC Systems Repair, Maintenance, and Alterations: ensures repairs meet code and that alterations have proper permits.
• 40% - HVAC Preventive Maintenance: PM on equipment is performed as scheduled and documented.
• 15% - Work Administration: complete work orders and communicate status.
• 5% - Other duties as assigned are conducted efficiently.
