Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking a Building HVAC Technician to assist operations and repairs across facilities. You will evaluate and repair HVAC equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and provide cost figures for repairs while updating databases.

The role requires after-hours on-call for emergencies such as snow removal and other essential duties. The position offers a 4-day work week with occasional Fridays, evenings, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 3 years of HVAC or related experience.
• CFC Universal Certification preferred.
• Stationary Engineer License preferred.
• DDC controls experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observes and inspects HVAC equipment to determine operating status and perform repairs.
• Provides recommendations regarding equipment upgrades.
• Maintains and repairs commercial equipment including food service and plumbing.
• Prepares cost analysis figures for repairs and updates databases.
