Job summary

Harris County is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to repair and maintain building equipment across facilities. You may supervise contractors, fabricate and install HVAC components, and ensure licensure for work performed under supervision or via licensed contractors.

The role requires five years’ hands-on experience in commercial/industrial HVAC, EPA certification, and a valid Texas driver’s license. On-call duties and potential OT are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years as HVAC mechanic/technician with hands-on repair experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required (EPA).
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on building equipment and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using manuals, blueprints, and codes.
• Estimate labor and materials costs for fabricating and installing HVAC components.
• Drive to job sites as needed and assist/train coworkers.
• Be on-call and work outside regular hours as required.
